An unusual way of dissemination
Nearly 700 of MDA Youth volunteers, participants of the Multi Casualty Incidents course, enjoyed an experiential activity on the movement fundamental principals, the Red Crystal symbol and the basics of international humanitarian law.
The activity was led by Mrs. Rachel Ikar-Cohen, the MDA Dissemination Officer, who split the group into two rounds; in each a class of several hundred participants took part.
The activity was a contest between several classes in the form of a quiz, which required an active participation of each participant of each class (group). This activity ensured that all those present benefit and internalize the issues taught.
Every participant was handed information pamphlets and four pages of different colors carrying the letters A, B, C and D. Questions were presented on the big screen, followed by four possible answers. Shortly, all present in the big hall raised their sign with the answer they deem correct.
Representatives of each team were on stage, counting their team members votes and raising the page carrying the answer chosen by the majority of their respective team.
The winning teams received Red Crystal T-shirts, which they wore with great pride. All participants and staff were enthusiastic at the success of the lesson, and there is no doubt that this activity will be implemented in future youth seminars and trainings. |
