Magen David Adom - efforts for relief in the Caribbean

Magen David Adom is the National Society of Israel and a full member in the International

Red Cross and the Red Crescent  Movement.  As such, Magen David Adom takes a part in the international effort to provide support to the Haitian population, affected by one of the worst natural disasters in history.

Magen David Adom depends on the citizens of Israel, as do the National Societies which are part of the Red Cross and the Red Crescent Movement in their countries, to extend contribution for the affected population of Haiti.

As a representative of the Israeli population in the Red Cross and the Red Crescent Movement, Magen David Adom asks the people of Israel to donate according to their abilities.

The money gathered would be used for funding Magen David Adom activities in Haiti - delegation of Magen David Adom personnel on the needs assessment mission, joint ventures with the Red Cross for the relief of the affected Haitian people, and other short and long terms projects.

Through Magen David Adom, Israel is a member of a family of nations. The people of Israel can count on the same support provided to others by the Red Cross and the Red Crescent International Movement members, should the need arise.
