When calling 101, please answer the dispatcher’s questions patiently:
"What happened?" - Please provide your answer in one short sentence.
"What is your phone number?" - This is so the dispatcher can call you back if necessary, in case your call is disconnected.
"Where exactly is the emergency scene?" - Once you have given the address, the ambulance is already on its way, but there are more questions.
- Additional directions if necessary.
- Full name of the patient or casualty, if known.
If possible, someone should go outside, to wait for the ambulance.
While awaiting the ambulance, you should give first aid to the sick or the injured, according to your ability and qualification.
In some cases, the Control Center may instruct you to perform certain procedures to give aid to the sick or the injured until the ambulance arrives.
It is important to take a CPR course - anyone can save lives!

In order to ask for aid by SMS, please send a text message to the following telephone number: 052-7000-101
Please include the following information in your text message: full name, exact address, including house number, apartment, floor, city and brief information about the incident.
This service is designed for the deaf and individuals with hearing impairments only.
The SMS message is sent at the same time as an e-mail message, directly to the controller's computer monitor, accompanied by an audio alert.
