16.06.2025 14:55

With the launch of Operation "Rising Lion" and the declaration of a special state of emergency on the home front early Friday morning (June 13), Magen David Adom raised its alert level to the highest state of preparedness

All MDA ambulances, mobile intensive care units (MICUs), emergency medicycles, and rapid response vehicles were fully staffed. All 35,000 employees and volunteers of the organization were mobilized to provide fast and effective medical response as needed.

Magen David Adom teams were dispatched to numerous scenes, arriving in large numbers with ambulances, MICUs, and medicycle first responders. They treated a total of 708 casualties, including: 21 fatalities, 13 in serious condition, 37 moderate injuries, 581 with mild injuries, and 56 suffering from anxiety symptoms.

At the request of the Ministry of Health, MDA teams are also transferring nursing patients, ventilated patients, premature babies, and others from their current locations to protected facilities using MDA's specially equipped intensive care buses, MICUs, and ambulances.

Magen David Adom's EMTs and paramedics remain on high alert, prepared to provide immediate medical response whenever necessary.

MDA also warns of a severe blood shortage and urges the general public — especially those with type O blood — to check for local blood donation drives operating under Home Front Command guidelines at http://www.mdais.org/dam, and to come donate.

It is recommended to schedule an appointment on the MDA website and fill out the donor questionnaire received by SMS prior to arrival.
