Delegation of Influencers from the United Arab Emirates, Morocco and Bahrain Visit MDA’s Jerusalem Station
On Thursday June 17, nine social media influencers from the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Morrocco and Bahrain visited MDA’s Jerusalem station as part of their visit in Israel. The visit was accompanied by President of Magen David Adom in United Kingdom (MDA UK) Russel Jacobs, MDA UK Chief Executive Daniel Burger and MDA management.
During the visit the influencers met MDA employees and volunteers of all ages and religious backgrounds, saw MDA’s state of the art simulation center where the teams train and learned about the advanced technologies in use at MDA including the “MyMDA” cellular application and automatic location, simultaneous translated online chat, the ability to send photos and videos from the scene and much more. The visit was coordinated with IsraelIs, an organization which works to improve Israel’s image in the world by connecting Israeli young adults with young adults from around the world, Together for Israel and the Strategic and Policy Planning Department.
Youssef Mohammed, who participated in the visit: “As the first Bahraini visitor to Magen David Adom, this was an unforgettable experience. I saw Jews and Arabs working side by side on ambulances, in the training and simulation center and in the Emergency Call Center. I was shocked that the response times are 3-5 minutes and I know this is all thanks to MDA volunteers around Israel and in the name of saving lives. The technologies in use in MDA’s 101 Emergency Call Center combined with the “MyMDA” application and other technologies are in use only in Israel. They save lives and I strongly believe they should be in use around the world.”
MDA UK Chief Executive, Daniel Burger: “It is amazing that less than a year after the Abraham Accords, Magen David Adom and MDA UK hosted a delegation from the UAE, Bahrain and Morrocco in MDA’s Jerusalem station.
