Since the beginning of, “Operation Guardian of the Walls,” there were 797 people injured and 13 killed. The breakdown is as follows:
Due to terrorism from rockets, 357 received medical attention from MDA EMTs and Paramedics throughout the country. Of the 357, Hamas killed 10 with direct hits while another 2 later died in hospitals from explosion and shrapnel injuries. Shrapnel, rocket explosion blasts, and shattered glass injured 119. Of the 119, 7 were in severe condition, 13 in moderate condition, and 99 in mild condition. It is important to note that 226 of the 357 total people requiring medical attention following rocket attacks sustained injuries while finding shelter. The 226 injured while running to shelters included 1 in severe condition, 5 in moderate condition, and 220 in mild condition.
257 people required medical assistance from MDA teams whilst suffering from stress symptoms. Some required additional medical care.
196 people around the country required medical care from MDA due to the nation - wide riots. A 56 year - old man suffered a critical head injury from which he later died. Another 10 people were in severe condition, 30 in moderate condition, and 155 in mild condition.
