On Friday at 12:31 PM, MDA’s 101 emergency dispatch in the Gilboa region received multiple reports related to a terror attack across several locations in and around Beit Shean and Route 71 near Ein Harod. MDA teams were dispatched simultaneously to all reported scenes.

On Route 71 near Ein Harod, MDA teams located a young woman around 18 years old lying unconscious on the side of the road, suffering from penetrating injuries. Despite medical treatment, her condition was critical and she was pronounced dead at the scene. “She was lying beyond the safety barrier, unconscious and suffering from penetrating injuries,” said MDA physician Dr. Ravid Petro.

Minutes later, on Shomron Street in Beit Shean, MDA EMTs and paramedics arrived to find a 68 year old man lying unconscious, without a pulse and not breathing after being struck by a vehicle. Immediate resuscitation efforts were initiated, but he was pronounced dead shortly afterward. “I immediately began resuscitation efforts,” said MDA paramedic Daniel Toito.

In a third incident on Yaakov Mikhlouf Street in Beit Shean, a 16 year old boy was found conscious with injuries to his lower extremities after being struck by a vehicle. He received medical treatment at the scene and was evacuated by MDA ambulance to HaEmek Medical Center in minor condition.
