In a special ceremony held on Thursday evening in Anava Park in Modiin-Maccabim-Reut, in the presence of the general manager of youth organizations' committee Shlomi Kastro, along with MDA Community Deputy Director General Dr. Eli Jaffe and other members of MDA's management team, 3,000 9th grade students completed their training as First Aid Providers in Magen David Adom. The thousands of students undertook and passed a professional course in which they learnt how to provide medical first aid, to save lives, and to provide communal and humanitarian aid.

The newly graduated students will now begin to volunteer on ambulances and MICUs, as well as continue their activities within their communities.

The students demonstrated treatment of a patient involved in an accident while riding a scooter, another scenario where they treated an elderly lady who felt unwell, and finally demonstrated treatment of a multi-casualty incident caused by an overturned bus. Certificates were presented to a year's national service prior to starting their military service, as well as to MDA EMT Moran Dahan, selected by the youth organizations' committee as the educator of the year.

General Manager of Youth Organizations' Committee Shlomi Kastro: "Very soon, you will be at the forefront of community activities in Israel. I believe that your work within the youth organizations is the most important start to your civilian life. You have chosen to lead the way of volunteering. The fact that 3,000 youth volunteers are going to be joining the ambulances is an event on a global scale. There is no other youth organization in the world that does something like this. Good luck to all of you."

Amiad Taub, Deputy Mayor of Modiin-Maccabim-Reut: "We are proud to host Israel's National Emergency Service - Magen David Adom - here with us in Modiin. The local MDA station is one of the leading stations in the country, with some 700 volunteers. Volunteering is a primary value here. I am proud of you and wish you all the best of luck."

Deputy Minister for Education Meir Yitzchak Halevi: "I congratulate you on completing this challenge, and I have personally been following the youth activities for many years. My younger daughter was an MDA volunteer for many years. I am proud of you and love you. Keep doing the best you can, just like you've been doing."

Deputy Director General for Community in MDA, Dr. Eli Jaffe: "Israel's National Rescue Organization relies upon its valued human resource, the people on the ambulances and their personal and professional skills. Today, a huge force has joined us in the form of thousands of youth volunteers whose aim is to save lives. A year ago, when the course began, you had no idea what was coming, and now you know a great deal and that you'll be able to treat things that you may come across. We are all here to mark your transition from the younger group to the older group. . From tomorrow morning you can join an ambulance team and start to treat the sick and injured. I wish you a pleasant holiday and a successful time volunteering on the ambulances and MICUs. Good luck!"
