Meet Our Volunteers: Youth EMT Alma Bilia from the Netanya Station
We are excited to introduce you to the dedicated volunteers of Magen David Adom! Today, meet Alma Bilia (16), a youth volunteer at the Netanya station in MDA’s Sharon Region for the past year, whose passion and accomplishments are truly inspiring.
"MDA was always my dream," Alma shares. "One day in middle school, an MDA instructor came into our classroom and spoke about the organization's lifesaving mission. I immediately knew I had to be a part of it. I fulfilled that dream, and I’ve been an integral part of the MDA family ever since."
For Alma, every shift is a highlight of her week:
"Shifts at MDA are my favorite part of the week. It’s where I feel most at home, doing what I love most, helping people in their most vulnerable and critical moments, being there for them, and making lifelong friends along the way."
Alma isn't stopping there. Having recently completed MDA's instructors course, she will begin teaching the incoming class of 9th-grade students in the 60-Hour First Aid Responder Course later this year.
Magen David Adom is incredibly proud of Alma and all of our extraordinary youth volunteers who are shaping the future generation of EMS leaders!
