Magen David Adom will secure the 21st Maccabiah Games competition
Magen David Adom, Israel's national emergency medical and blood services organization, is supporting the Maccabiah competitors in an exciting event that will take place in Israel this coming Wednesday. As has been each year since this special sports competition was established, the MDA teams which include medics, paramedics, logistics workers, and volunteers will provide medical support to competitors, coaches, participants, spectators and the Maccabiah teams. This year, we are especially proud to secure the 21st Maccabiah opening event which will be attended by US President Joe Biden and his entourage.
MDA ambulances, mobile intensive care units, first responder medi-cycles, electric vehicles, command and control vehicles and ATVs capable of reaching patients in off road conditions, will be there to provide peace of mind to all participants and provide a quick, efficient and professional response to any emergency.
Our teams in the field will be supported by the teams at the National Operations Center and MDA’s 101 Emergency Dispatch Center which will be standing by to assist. Additionally, MDA’s National Blood Services Center is prepared with additional blood supplies standing by which can be supplied rapidly to hospitals across Israel.
Magen David Adom has been operating for over 91 years, supporting the most important historical events of the State of Israel. From the initial struggle for its establishment, through the challenges of maintaining its security to the present day, in routine and emergency times, from Israel's north to south, dedicated to saving lives and touching the lives of patients.
The organization is an official member of the International Committee of the Red Cross and provides humanitarian assistance at events in Israel and around the world. We are proud to announce that the medical team securing the Maccabiah will include EMTs and paramedics who have just returned from aid missions to Ukraine and will be continuing to save lives here as well, at this historic event.
