70 Members of Family Dedicate MDA Ambulance
An ambulance in memory of long-time MDA supporter Rob Sprecher's Z"L parents was dedicated at the Marcus National Blood Services Center.
The ceremony, held on October 21st, was attended by some 70 members of the Sprecher family, of the MDA Netherlands Friends' Society. The ambulance was donated by Rob Z"L and his brother Tuvia in loving memory of their parents Joop and Jetty Sprecher Z"L.
The ceremony was originally planned to take place in the spring of 2022, and the hope was that Rob would be able to attend. However, sadly Rob passed away on April 5th after a serious illness. The family decided to hold the ceremony a few months after his passing on a day that was very emotional for the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and the entire extended family and friends who attended.
Members of MDA's senior leadership team also attended the ceremony and joined the tour of the MNBSC, including Prof. Eilat Shinar, MDA Deputy Director of Blood Services, MDA Deputy Directors General Alon Fridman and Dr. Eli Jaffe, and International Relations Department Director Yonatan Yagodovsky.
Dr. Marjan Sprecher, Chairperson of MDA Nederlands Friends' Society described the day as very special and very meaningful to the family.
