Shooting Incident at Tayasir Checkpoint in the Jordan Valley
This morning (Tuesday) at 06:12, reports were received at MDA’s 101 Emergency Call Center in the Gilboa Region regarding a shooting incident at the Tayasir Checkpoint in the Jordan Valley
Magen David Adom teams were dispatched to the scene and assisted IDF medical forces with initial treatment and evacuation of the injured.
Four MDA Mobile Intensive Care Units (MICUs) and three ambulances arrived at the scene, and an additional six ambulances were dispatched to helicopter landing pads at Rambam and Beilinson hospitals. An MDA helicopter was also dispatched to the incident and placed on standby in a nearby location.
After providing initial medical treatment at the scene and at the helicopter landing pads, four victims were evacuated to Beilinson Hospital, and two others were evacuated to Rambam Hospital.
MDA Paramedic Denis Polkov told:
"We arrived at the scene with MDA ambulances and Mobile Intensive Care Units. Together with IDF medical teams, we provided medical treatment to six victims who were airlifted by IDF helicopters. We then evacuated them from the landing pads to the hospitals' trauma rooms."
