Day 8 of Operation “Am K’Lavi”: Magen David Adom Teams Have Treated 1,150 Casualties So Far
Following the launch of Operation “Am K’Lavi” and the declaration of a special emergency situation on the home front early Friday morning (June 13), Magen David Adom (MDA) raised its level of alert to the highest state of readiness
All MDA ambulances, mobile intensive care units, emergency motorcycles, and rapid response vehicles were fully staffed. The organization’s 35,000 employees and volunteers were mobilized to provide swift and efficient medical response to any need.
MDA teams have been dispatched to numerous scenes, arriving in large numbers with ambulances, mobile intensive care units, and first responders on MDA motorcycles.
So far, MDA teams have treated 1,150 individuals: 24 were pronounced dead, 16 were severely injured, 26 sustained moderate injuries, 643 were lightly injured, 195 were treated for anxiety, and 246 were treated at the scene and did not require hospital transport.
A 51-year-old woman suffered cardiac arrest and lost consciousness in a protected area in Karmiel. Despite resuscitation efforts, MDA paramedics were forced to pronounce her dead at the scene.
At the request of the Ministry of Health, MDA teams are transferring patients from nursing homes, ventilated patients, premature infants, and others from their current locations to protected facilities using MDA’s specialized intensive care buses, mobile intensive care units, and ambulances.
Magen David Adom's paramedics and medics remain on high alert and continue to be fully prepared to provide immediate medical response when needed.
