President of the State of Israel Isaac Herzog and his wife, Michal Herzog, visited the Magen David Adom (MDA) National Headquarters in Ramla today (Monday)

During the visit, the President and his wife received a briefing on MDA’s activities during Operation "Am K'Lavi - Rising Lion" and on the ongoing operations of MDA’s 35,000 volunteers and employees—active around the clock, even under fire.

The President and Mrs. Herzog met with Katya Korshenbaum, an MDA paramedic who treated the wounded at missile impact sites in central Israel, including a critically injured person rescued from beneath the rubble. They also met with Tehilla Kadosh, an MDA paramedic who provided field triage and care to casualties in Holon.

The President and his wife toured MDA’s intensive care evacuation bus, the first of its kind in the world, equipped to evacuate seven patients on stretchers and six more walking wounded. The bus is fitted with advanced medical equipment and was used during the Operation "Am K'Lavi to transfer patients and premature infants from medical facilities to protected areas.

President Isaac Herzog said during the visit:

"We came to MDA’s command center together with the talented Director General Eli Bin, who is doing an outstanding job, along with the organization's leadership, staff, and tens of thousands of dedicated volunteers. MDA is a lifesaving organization, but first and foremost it is a critical part of Israel’s national emergency infrastructure.

Everyone waits to hear what Eli Bin has to say about rocket strikes —and that’s no coincidence. We were at MDA’s command center on October 8, 2023, and it’s clear how impressively the capabilities have advanced, enabling real-time information gathering, rapid analysis, and ultimately—saving lives."
