Minister of Religion visits MDA

27.04.2022 12:03

MK Matan Kahana (Yemina Party), the Minister of Religion, visited MDA's National Operations Center.

The Minister of Religion, MK Matan Kahana, visited Magen David Adom's National Operations Center in Kiryat Ono. He met with MDA Director General Eli Bin, who briefed the minister on the routine challenges facing MDA, as well as updating him regarding corona, the aid being provided to refugees from the war in Ukraine, as well as MDA's preparations for this year's events on Mount Meron.

Minister Kahana was shown MDA's activation system, from the moment the call is received in the 101 Dispatch Center through to the patient being conveyed to hospital, while using the latest technology that allows supervision, monitoring and quality assurance in real time.

The Minister for Religion toured the National Operations Center and showed great interest in the preparations for this year's event on Mount Meron, following last year's tragedy. He was shown a Smart-Stand Public Access Defibrillator, as well as the availability of thousands of defibrillators across the country, including in synagogues. All these help reduce response times in critical cases of cardiac arrest.

Minister of Religion, Matan Kahana: "I was very impressed from MDA's preparedness, both with the ongoing reality and also with regards to Mount Meron. I'm pleased that you have passed on your concerns so that the lessons can be learned, and I trust you that this year the event will be held in the safest and most professional way possible, in order to ensure that those celebrating return home safe and sound."

MDA Director General, Eli Bin: "I thank Minister Kahana for his cooperation and for giving freely of his time in order to become better acquainted with MDA and its activities, both routine and emergency."
