In a special ceremony held at Neot Kedumim Park, approximately 3,700 9th grade students from all over the country completed their training as first aiders with Magen David Adom. The young trainees completed the training that was spread over about a year, were certified as first aid providers and now have the future to join the approximately 10,000 volunteers older youth at MDA and operate in ambulances and mobile intensive care vehicles throughout the country, in addition to continuing their activities for society and the community.

The ceremony was attended by Dr. Eli Jaffe, Deputy Director General of Community at MDA, Uri Shaham, MDA Chief of Staff to the Director General, Itamar Abramovich, MDA Director of the Volunteers and Training Division, Eliaz Mor, MDA Director of the Training Department, Mordechai Ben Harosh, Deputy Director Department of Volunteers at MDA and national youth volunteers manager, Eil Glass, Vice President of the Council of Children and Youth Organizations, MDA Regional Directors, coordinators of volunteers at MDA and other senior officials.

During the year, the new volunteers learned about the anatomy of the human body, how to identify diseases and injuries and the methods of treatment in order to save lives. During the evening that opened with an MDA rescue vehicle display, which includes ambulances, mobile intensive care vehicles, emergency medicycles, ATVs and special 4x4 vehicles, an intensive care bus, the special Unimog vehicle, and more, the winners of the national cross-sectional test competition that was held as part of the trainees' training were announced, third place went to the trainees of the course From the Yarkon area, which took place at the MDA station in Kfar Saba, the second place was won by the trainees from the Ayalon area, which was held at the MDA station in Modi'in-Maccabim-Reut, and the first place was won by the trainees from the Sharon area, which was held at the MDA station in Kadima.
