The minister was shown the Blood Services laboratories, the underground storage areas, the Human Milk Bank, and more.
Minister for Innovation, Science and Technology, Ofir Akunis: “I’m amazed by the impressive activities of the blood bank and human milk bank that are operated by MDA. Saving lives of any age and contributing to new lives, to mere infants who have just been born, and whose mothers are prevented from feeding them. The new center plays a huge contribution, strengthening our troops at this time, along with all Israeli citizens, with professionalism and innovating, groundbreaking measures.”
Deputy Director General of Blood Services, Prof. Eilat Shinar: “We thank the Minister from visiting us today at Magen David Adom’s National Milk Bank. The bank plays a vital part in Magen David Adom’s activities, and allows us to save lives, especially during times of war.”
