In Israel, there is National Good Deeds Day. On this day, Israelis make an extra effort to do good deeds for others. Magen David Adom helps facilitate this by running extra blood donation centers, allowing the public to do their good deed with ease. 

This year, Israel Police officers who give so much to the people of Israel on a daily basis, joined in on the act and donated hundreds of units of blood during this special day! Police stations played host to MDA Blood Mobiles along with many other locations across Israel. 

Deputy Director General of Blood Services, Prof. Eilat Shinar: "We'd like to thank the Israel Police officers who gave time and blood to save the lives of others. Heading towards the Passover festive season we are predicting that there will be a reduced supply, so each unit is of vital importance. I call on the public to attend the many blood donation sites across Israel and to donate blood." 

Remember - Each unit of blood can save three lives!
