Ofir Akunis, Minister for Innovation, Science and Technology visited Magen David Adom's National Dispatch Center in Kiryat Ono, where he met the senior management team, as well as MDA EMTs and Paramedics who were working in the National Dispatch Room during the first days of the "Iron Swords" War.

Minister Akunis heard about the activities of the organization and high levels of preparedness during the war, and held an immersive tour of MDA's 101 emergency call center. He also heard about the activities of the MDA EMTs and Paramedics who provided medical treatment while under fire during the first moments of the battles, along with tales of heroism of MDA staff who sacrificed their lives while providing medical aid.

Minister Akunis also met MDA EMTs and Paramedics who work in the National Dispatch Center, who activate all responders from across the different organizations, in order to provide medical treatment to those in need. Minister Akunis was impressed by the advanced command and control technology used in the Dispatch Center, as well as by the MDA building in Ramla where the Blood Services operate, as well as the Human Milk Bank that provides milk to babies whose mothers have been murdered, kidnapped, or serving in IDF reserve duties.
