MDA staff Helping with Back to School
MDA staff and volunteers in Kiryat Motzkin have been helping dozens of children prepare to go back to school
Dozens of EMTs, paramedics, staff and volunteers in MDA's Kiryat Motzkin Station are holding a collection for school bags and equipment to donate to local residents in need. Many of the nearby population as well as store owners have supported the project, and donated a large amount of equipment.
Over 100 schoolbags and equipment, have been collected by MDA teams since the project started in July, that will be handed out to families in need in the Krayot region near Haifa, in coordination with the welfare departments.
"As the summer vacation began, we decided that this is an excellent time to give back to the local community," said Yoel Levinger, MDA Krayot station manager. "From the moment we realized that there was a need for school equipment, we decided it was time to act. This is the first time we have done something like this, and so far we have collected bags and equipment that will help dozens of families. The staff and volunteers at the station quickly joined forces with local residents, leading to huge success".
