At 13.27 on Friday (10.02.23) a report was received in MDA’s 101 Emergency Call Center of a car that hit several pedestrians at a bus stop, on Golda Meir Blvd, corner of Binyamin Mintz, in Ramot, Jerusalem. MDA EMTs and Paramedics determined (on site) the death of 6 year old boy and conveyed to Shaare Tzedek, Hadassah Mount Scopus and Hadassah Ein Karem 6 injured people, including: a 20 year old male that his death was determined in the hospital, an 8 year old boy in critical condition, 2 males approximately 25 years old in severe condition suffering from head trauma, a 40 year old male in moderate condition with limb injuries, and a 10 year old in mild condition.

MDA Paramedic Lishai Shemesh who was in the area at the time of the attack: “I was in the car with my wife and children and noticed a car driving fast into the bus stop and crushing the people who were waiting there. I stopped at the side and immediately ran towards the victims. A security person neutralized the terrorist. It was a shocking scene, we saw several victims including 6 and 8 year old children who were lying unconscious. We immediately began to triage the victims and provide life-saving treatment. MDA teams were immediately at the scene in large numbers, and continued treatment while conveying to hospital. I joined one of the ambulances and we conveyed a 20 year old male with a head injury in severe condition to Shaare Tzedek hospital. Unfortunately his death was determined in the hospital."

MDA EMT Shraga Rosenthal: “The scene was terrible when we arrived. We saw a vehicle near the bus stop that hit pedestrians that were waiting. We saw 7 victims near each other. 2 of them were 6 & 8 year old children who were unconscious with severe multi-trauma injuries. A 20 year old male and 30 year old male were unconscious, and 3 further victims were conscious with limb injuries. We provided first aid, and performed CPR on the two children. This is a very serious incident.”

MDA EMT Yehuda Ne'emad, who himself was injured in the past during a terror attack at the Ramot neighborhood was one of the first at the scene: "it was horrifying. I live next to the scene and heard about the attack. I immediately ran to the site and saw the injured people lying at the bus stop next to the car that hit them. A security man shot and neutralized the terrorist.  I began to resuscitate one of the boys. Large numbers of MDA teams arrived immediately and provided medical treatment. It took me back to the terror attack that I was severely injured in and the sites here were horrible."
