New Medi-cycles join MDA
Magen David Adom welcomes 8 new Medi-cycles!
Magen David Adom dedicated eight new Medi-cycles this week, in order to continue to improve the organization's response times. The new Medi-cycles have been placed across the country, in the cities of Tel Aviv, Bnei Brak, Petah Tikva and Rosh Ha'ayin.
MDA's Medi-cycle response unit was established in 2002, and today numbers more than 650 vehicles. They undergo special adjustments, including lights, sirens and a special kit-carrying capabilities in order to meet MDA's requirements in order to provide first aid in the field. They are painted in bright yellow in order to make them more visible on the streets.
MDA Director General, Eli Bin: "The new Medi-cycles join hundreds of other MDA vehicles spread across Israel that save lives every hour of every day. The new Medi-cycles will help to improve response times and allow us to reach patients in a faster time. We will continue to work towards shorter response times for the benefit of the public."
