Magen David Adom mourns the loss of volunteer EMT Adnan Assad, who was killed while on duty as a firefighter, while attempting a rescue in Deir Al Assad. Adnan, 40, lived in Beit Jann, and recently completed his EMT course as part of his service in the Fire Department. Adnan leaves a wife and three children. After completing his EMT training, Adnan planned to advance his studies and volunteering in MDA, and to become an ambulance driver.
Director General of MDA, Eli Bin: "We mourn the sad and tragic loss of Adnan Assad. He was well-loved and talented, acting on two fronts to save lives among the public - both as a firefighter and as an MDA volunteer EMT. We send our deep condolences to his family."
