Chairman of the Israel Aerospace Industries and former Minister of Defense, Amir Peretz visited Magen David Adom, donated blood and participated in writing a letter in the Sefer Torah

Israel Aerospace Industries Chairman Amir Peretz visited the Magen David Adom National Dispatch Center in Kiryat Ono today (Monday) together with MDA volunteer Miri Bohadana, and met MDA Director General Eli Bin, the organization's senior management team and MDA dispatchers who helped the victims in the first days of the "Iron Swords" war.

Peretz heard about the organization's activities during combat and emergencies, and during a comprehensive tour of the 101 Emergency Center - he met the MDA teams who save lives in the shadow of the Red Alert sirens and the escalation throughout the country and heard the story of the EMTs and paramedics from the residents of Western Negev communities and Sderot who provided medical care under fire and live fire in the first moments of the fighting, alongside stories of heroism about MDA forces who sacrificed their lives while providing medical aid.

During the visit, Peretz mentioned that the first law he enacted as a young Knesset member was a critical addition of life-saving ambulances to the Magen David Adom forces.

The tour was joined by Sderot native and MDA volunteer, Miri Bohadana, who together with Amir Peretz decided to donate blood.

In addition, MDA Director General Eli Bin and Amir Peretz participated in writing a letter in the Sefer Torah in honor of unity of Israel which will be placed at the Western Wall, as part of a project by the Rabbi of the Tzahala neighborhood in Tel Aviv, Rabbi Haim Horowitz.

MDA Director General Eli Bin: "I thank the Chairman of the Israel Aerospace Industries Amir Peretz, for coming to the National Dispatch Center to strengthen and support the MDA teams working in the field, saving human lives around the clock and in emergency conditions, and for donating blood to save their lives of three sick and wounded. The stories he heard about the MDA EMTs and paramedics reflect the war effort of the MDA teams from the outbreak of the “Iron Swords” war, who acted with great courage in order to provide first aid and medical assistance in the most professional manner. It is important to mention that thanks to the Iron Dome which is protecting the citizens of the country at this time, which Amir Peretz wisely and courageously insisted on, we at MDA have less work."
