Knesset Chairman Amir Ohana visited Magen David Adom's National Dispatch Center in Kiryat Ono today (Tuesday), met with MDA Director General Eli Bin and the organization's senior management team, heard about the activities of the organization in the early hours of the "Iron Swords" war and the preparedness for the war's continuation. He also heard about the activities of MDA teams in Sderot and the Western Negev communities on the 7th of October, in which some of them fell, were injured or abducted in the line of duty.

Knesset Chairman Ohana toured all throughout MDA's National Dispatch Center, and during his tour, reports came in of a rocket barrage towards Netivot and its surroundings. The Knesset Chairman was able to see the advanced technologies which enable MDA to locate the sites of the strikes and arrive rapidly and efficiently to wherever medical help is required, and provide it. MDA Director General Eli Bin and Knesset Chairman Amir Ohana spoke with the mayor of Netivot, Yechiel Zohar, and updated him on the strikes in his city immediately as they happened.

Additionally, the Knesset Chairman met the EMTs and paramedics who answer the calls coming in to MDA's 101 Emergency Call Center during routine or emergency, dispatch the teams and provide online medical instructions until they arrive.

You are the ones who arrive, in times of routine and in times such as the October 7th, to every location. I arrived here to tell you in the name of the Knesset and the citizens of Israel thank you very much. You are one of the most important branches the State of Israel has, and I have much appreciation and love towards you, I am at your service."
