Magen David Adom Summarizes the Year 2020 in Numbers
In the past year, Magen David Adom has been involved in saving lives, in fighting the spread of the Coronavirus, and in COVID-19 sampling and vaccinating. Tens of thousands of employees and volunteers of the organization continue to engage in routine and emergency operations throughout the country even during the Corona crisis.
MDA celebrated 90 years and on the eve of the New Year, the organization summarizes the past year and presents the main activities in numbers. 2,000 ambulances and MICUs stationed around Israel, 609,471 patients were treated by MDA teams. 3,456,450 corona samples for testing were taken by MDA teams. MDA has vaccinated 60,000 people. A 101 call was received on average every 7.2 seconds with the average answer time standing at 4 seconds.
