This giving is a supreme and important value and it comes from a painful place of losing the mother of the family, the late Shulamit, who was an extraordinary woman of kindness. The family chose to continue its path in the same way - continue its great act of kindness. Thank you very much".

David Karpis, the father of the family: "The connection with MDA was immediate, today we feel part of the MDA family - which has also become part of our family. I want to thank all our wonderful partners along the way, Eli Bin and his team, the head of the council and everyone who helped in establishing the station, You are special people working with a special mission to save lives. This is a huge opportunity to say thank you from the bottom of my heart."

Gil Karpis, son of the late Shulamit: "This is a historic day for Atlit and its surroundings, which proves that from thought and vision - reality is created. Together with the Director General of MDA, the head of the council and the Karpis family, we are standing at the beginning of an exciting and important project that is all about saving lives. I would like to thank the MDA family and the Carmel Coast Regional Council for commemorating my dear mother, the late Shulamit Karpis."

The Rabbi of the Atlit Religious Council, Rabbi Shimon Elmaleh: "The great soul of the late Shulamit accompanied the project from above, together with MDA and the council. It is her soul that made everything here progress and succeed. We inaugurate the place on the eve of Yom Kippur, where the books are opened of the living and the dead. The dear soul of the late Shulamit works from above to save lives down here. Everything is for her memory, but also thanks to her."

Asif Isaac, Head of the Carmel Coast Regional Council: "Eight years ago, when I was a member of the local authority, my daughter had a car accident. We were waiting for an ambulance and then there was no MDA ambulance in the vicinity of our residence and it took a long time for it to arrive. At this moment I swore that there would not be one resident of the Carmel Coast Regional Council who would wait for an ambulance with his daughter. After the oath of the Karpis family, I contacted David Karpis and together we talked about building an MDA station. Today we are standing at the entrance of the station full of emotion and pride."

Eli Bin, Director General of MDA: "This is a historic and festive day that is filled with memory and sadness, in memory of the late Shulamit Karpis. The connection between the MDA family and the Karpis family was immediate and we joined hands together with the council for this important mission. At this station, generations of volunteers, doctors, EMTs and paramedics will grow and will continue to save lives for many years to come. I hug the Karpis family and thank them very much."
