Deputy Knesset Chairperson Visits MDA
Deputy Knesset Chairperson, Emilie Moattie MK (Labor), visited Magen David Adom's National Operations Center.
Emilie Moatti, MK, Deputy Chairperson of the Knesset, visited MDA's National Operations Center (NOC) in Kiryat Ono, accompanied by Director General Eli Bin and other members of senior management. MK Moatti was presented with an overview of MDA activities, toured the NOC and was briefed on the wide-ranging MDA activities undertaken by MDA as Israel's National EMS Organization.
During the tour, MK Moatti was exposed to the many technological advances developed in MDA, including the first responder dispatch system. She also heard about the variety of different vehicles used by MDA, including the MERVs, medicycles, electric bicycles, blood mobiles, intensive care buses, helicopters, and the boat that operates on the Sea of Galilee. She was also introduced to the Defibrillator project, showing her where thousands of public access defibs are available. This technology is available to any member of the public, even without formal medical training, allowing them to save lives by providing a shock in the case of cardiac arrests. MK Moatti saw how the remote technology works to help save lives.
