MK Yosef Taieb visits MDA
"I was impressed by the knowledge and professionalism that benefits Israel's citizens"
Member of the Knesset Yosef Taieb (Shas) visited MDA's National Operations Center (NOC) in Kiryat Ono and met MDA Director General Eli Bin and the senior management team. MK Taieb was given a review of MDA's activities, toured the NOC, heard about MDA's human resources, in particular its tens of thousands of volunteers and heard about the wide range of operations led by MDA - Israel's National Rescue Organization. He was presented with the challenges faced by MDA, as well as the preparedness and readiness for emergency operations that it has to uphold, while unlike the police, fire department or the IDF, it isn't funded by the State.
MK Taieb showed a great interest in MDA's National Human Milk Bank that helps premature babies in hospitals. He heard about the activity of MDA's volunteers, and the integration of many from the ultra-orthodox community in MDA, saving lives 24 hours a day on ambulances, mobile intensive care units (MICUs), and as first responders.
