5,000 Youth Volunteers Learn Lifesaving Skills This Summer
Each year during the summer vacation, Magen David Adom holds its traditional summer courses, aimed at improving the medical training and skills for MDA's Youth Volunteers. Some 1,800 of these volunteers from all across Israel undertook several different courses, including young leadership, junior instructors, disaster management course, and a course in multi-casualty incident training.
a further 3,400 Youth Volunteers, all 9th Grade graduates completed over the past several months their First Aid Providers course, and will now start volunteering on MDA's ambulances and MICUs.
MDA Director General Bin: "It's moving to see each year how youth volunteers spend their free time during the summer vacation by dedicating days and weeks to MDA, to learn, volunteer and give, all in the name of saving lives.
