Idan Yaron, a boy with special needs from Kiryat Haim, celebrated his 17th birthday on October 21st. In honor of the exciting occasion, his mother contacted MDA Senior EMT Itai Mazor, whom she knows through a mutual group of friends on WhatsApp - and asked to make a dream come true for her son who loves MDA activities and horse riding very much.

Liat Yaron, Idan's mother, said "Idan has loved riding horses since he was little, unfortunately due to the corona virus the horse farm where he went for therapeutic riding was closed and he hasn't ridden since." She added, "About a month ago, the MDA team came to the school for an activity and Idan was very excited by the activity. I decided that I would try to surprise him with an ambulance ride for his birthday and combine it with horses as well".

MDA Senior EMT Itai Mazor, who regularly rides horses, immediately prepared for the mission together with MDA EMT Heli Biton and on Friday they managed to fulfill a very special dream. "We arrived at Idan's house with a decorated ambulance and 2 horses. Idan joined us as one of the ambulance team for the journey to the horse farm in Kfar Bialik, where a surprise awaited him for his birthday - riding horses on the farm for a day dedicated to him".

"It was a very special experience, both for Idan and for us," concluded the MDA volunteers who accompanied Idan. "Sometimes the simple and small things produce the greatest happiness. The smile on Idan's face in the ambulance and during the ride is worth everything. Happy Birthday!".

The emotional Idan concluded: "It was a lot of fun, they surprised me and I was very excited. I want to say thank you to everyone".
