MDA volunteer, new immigrant Avital Kref, vaccinated her sister, Elisheva, a participant on the MASA project that brings young Jews to Israel to learn about Israel and specialize in a specific field of interest. Elisheva has been a participant on the program for a few months and she also volunteers at MDA.
She joins the approximately 6,000 Jewish young men and women from around the world who came to Israel during the corona pandemic, through the MASA programs. In recent days, MDA has vaccinated participants in a large-scale operation coordinated by the Ministry of Health.
Isaac Herzog, chairperson of the Jewish Agency, congratulated "the Ministry of Health, headed by Minister Yuli Edelstein, and MDA for raising the burden of vaccinating the participants of MASA programs in Israel".
