Memorial for Hadar
Blood donation event held in memory of a 17 year old
Hadar Arielle Tzur, a 17-year-old from Kiryat Netafim, was tragically killed last weekend in a road accident.
Hadar was a social activist and volunteered for many causes. Prior to her accident she was involved in arranging a blood drive in her local community. Sadly she didn't get to see her plan in action.
After her death, her friends and family decided to carry on the good work that Hadar had started, and held the blood drive in her honor and memory. The event that took place in the library of the Elkana Seminary was hugely successful, and 53 units of blood were donated by people from the nearby areas. Since each unit of blood can save three lives, over 150 people could benefit from this selfless deed, started by the volunteering spirit of 17-year-old Hadar.
May her memory be a blessing!
