At the end of August, a designated medics course was held for members of the Hesder Program, intended for high school graduates who are planning on studying at Hesder yeshivas or at a Mechina (military preparatory school).
The course was held in Jerusalem with the purpose of reinforcing the emergency medical response given to citizens and with the help of emergency medicine medics it will be available 24/7. The course constitutes an introduction for the paramedic program for Yeshiva students, meant to create a reserve medical force during emergencies and Indeed, 12 out of 44 participants intend to continue on this route.
MDA welcomes this initiative and hopes to see more medics and paramedics from the ultra-orthodox community taking part in the activity of saving lives, in routine and during emergencies.
