One More Chanukah Miracle
Two months after being critically injured by terrorists in Sderot - Rami meets the MDA team that saved his life
On the Black Saturday, after direct contact with the terrorists who had infiltrated Sderot, Senior NCO Rami Cohen was critically injured by gunfire. Using a bulletproof Mobile Intensive Care Unit (MICU), a MDA team was able to rescue him from the front line and evacuate him to another MICU which took him to hospital.
During the evacuation in the MICU, Rami's condition deteriorated significantly, and MDA Paramedic Alysa Krant decided to perform an emergency procedure in order to stabilize him. Rami arrived at hospital in serious but stable condition, and was immediately treated in the Trauma Unit.
On the final night of Chanukah, the MDA team that treated Rami - paramedic Alysa Krant and EMTs Eli Solomonchik and Itai Amar - had the chance to meet Rami again.
