2 Killed, 19 Injured in Rocket Strike Near Private Homes in the Coastal Plain
This morning (Saturday), Magen David Adom's 101 emergency dispatch received reports of a rocket strike near private homes in the Coastal Plain
Multiple MDA teams—ambulances, mobile intensive care units, and medicycles —were immediately dispatched to the scene.
MDA teams provided life-saving medical treatment and evacuated 21 injured people to Wolfson, Sheba Tel Hashomer, and Shamir-Assaf Harofeh hospitals. Among the casualties: a woman around 60 was rescued without signs of life, a man around 45 was evacuated in critical condition while undergoing CPR and was later pronounced dead, a woman around 60 was seriously injured, two people were moderately injured, and 16 suffered minor injuries from blast trauma and flying debris. In addition, several individuals suffering from anxiety were evacuated from the site.
MDA Deputy Director of the Ayalon Region, Paramedic Rami Meushar, MDA Paramedic Katya Korshenbaum, and MDA EMT Shimon Farash reported:
"Immediately after the siren, MDA’s 101 dispatch received numerous calls about a rocket strike near private homes. We arrived with large forces and encountered extensive destruction to several buildings. Some of the injured were trapped under the rubble; others were walking wounded.
A woman in her 60s was rescued unconscious and without vital signs, a man around 45 was transported while being resuscitated, a woman was seriously injured, and 16 others were treated for mild to moderate injuries. This was a difficult and complex scene, and we are continuing to search to ensure no one remains trapped."
