Today at a school in northern Israel, a student suffered a severe allergic reaction, struggling to breathe. But thanks to the quick thinking of MDA Youth Volunteer Haro Lifshitz—who is also her classmate—her life was saved!
Haro stayed calm, immediately called MDA’s 101 emergency dispatch center, and administered her Epipen under their guidance. By the time the paramedics arrived, her condition had improved, and she was taken to the hospital for further care.
Haro Lifshitz, MDA Youth Volunteer:
"As soon as I saw she was having an allergic reaction, I knew exactly what to do—just like I was trained in MDA. I didn’t panic, called 101, and injected her Epipen. I even rode with her in the ambulance to support her. It’s amazing to use my training to save lives, even at school!"
Huge respect to Haro for his bravery and quick action!
