MDA teams from the Druze community accompanied Druze religious leaders from Syria on a religious visit to Israel this past weekend

Over the past weekend (Friday), a religious visit took place in Israel by Syrian Druze religious leaders—an event that has only occurred once before, in 1984, since the establishment of the state.

Magen David Adom EMTs and paramedics from the Druze community made extensive preparations for their arrival and accompanied them throughout the visit. The visit began with a speech by Sheikh Mowafak Tarif in Julis, continued with visits to the tombs of Druze religious figures and the tomb of Jethro, and concluded with an inauguration ceremony for two prayer houses in Peki'in.

At the end of the visit, Sheikh Mowafak Tarif expressed his gratitude to MDA Director-General Eli Bin.
