Minister of the Negev, the Galilee, and National Resilience, Yitzhak Shimon Wasserlauf (Otzma Yehudit), visited Magen David Adom (MDA)

During his visit, the minister received a comprehensive briefing on the organization’s preparedness, alertness, and the activities of MDA teams during Operation “Am KeLavi” (“Rising Lion”), in which MDA teams were dispatched to numerous scenes across the country, providing medical care to hundreds of casualties.

The minister conducted a detailed tour of Magen David Adom’s national dispatch center, where he met with MDA EMTs and paramedics who answer emergency calls to the 101 emergency dispatch during routine times and emergencies.

These teams provide medical guidance over the phone while simultaneously dispatching teams to incidents. The minister was also briefed on the "Magen Project," in which MDA has trained approximately 15,000 civilians in first aid to provide immediate medical assistance in their communities during critical moments, before MDA teams arrive.

I deeply appreciate their work and efforts. This is part of our victory in this campaign—our ability to sustain the home front, provide initial medical response, evacuate to the appropriate places, and calm people when needed. We all owe you a big thank you."
