MDA Thanks Colonel Dr. Olga Polyakov

Home Front Command Medical Commander who has Completed her Role

Last week, Col. Dr. Olga Polyakov, Home Front Command Medical Commander, arrived to say goodbye to the Magen David Adom headquarters upon completing her role as Home Front Command Medical Commander. As part of her role, Dr. Polyakov led the development and change of the concept of recruiting manpower and reinforcing Magen David Adom in emergencies and escalations in the country, greatly assisted in developing interfaces of information transfer and building joint work plans.

On the issue of the Corona, Col. Dr. Olga Polyakov led extensive cooperation between MDA and the Home Front Command. The headquarters, under the leadership of Dr. Polyakov established a medical reinforcement center in Home Front Command and other activities for public health.

Dr. Olga immigrated to Israel in 2000 and after studying in intensive Hebrew school, she joined the IDF as a doctor. In September 2017 she was promoted to the rank of Colonel and was appointed Home Front Commander in the army. She is currently a graduate of a military attaché course and is applying for the position of an attaché.

Colonel Dr. Olga Polyakov added: "At the end of such a significant role, I would like to thank MDA for its extraordinary cooperation in both routine and emergency situations. Without regular work and cooperation like the kind we have, we would not have seen such results on the ground; the routine preparations do pay off in an emergency. I greatly appreciate your work and thank you for completing my job with such a feeling."

Magen David Adom's Israel's National EMS Organization, which is one of the four components of the Home Front Command, will continue in full cooperation and shoulder-to-shoulder cooperation with the Home Front Command in general and the Department of Medicine in particular. We wish Colonel Dr. Polyakov continued success and are proud of her contribution to MDA and the IDF.
