Safed: MDA Ambulance Inaugurated for the Welfare of City and Local Residents
A new ambulance was inaugurated in a ceremony at the MDA station in Safed. This ambulance was donated as part of an initiative by the Jewish communities of Dortmund and Münster in Germany, who organized a crowdfunding campaign that successfully raised funds for the purchase of an MDA ambulance through the Israeli Friends of MDA
At the donors' request, the new ambulance was stationed at the MDA station in Safed to strengthen Magen David Adom teams in northern Israel.
In addition to the ambulance, the Jewish communities in Germany also donated five advanced resuscitation kits, which include defibrillators, resuscitation equipment, and first aid supplies. These kits were distributed to MDA rapid response volunteers in the North.
The ceremony was attended by representatives of the Dortmund community, including Community Chairman, Honorary President, and CEO of the "What Matters" organization. Also present were Safed Mayor Yossi Kakon, MDA Yarden Region Director Oren Avitan, MDA Safed Station Director Shimon Bismuth, representatives of the Israeli Friends of MDA, and other distinguished guests.
The new ambulance has been stationed at the MDA Safed station and will be used to save lives in the city and its surroundings.
"I would like to thank the Jewish communities of Dortmund and Münster for their dedication in raising funds for the new ambulance, which arrived with the support of the Israeli Friends of MDA. This donated ambulance joins the mobile intensive care units and ambulances already operating to save lives in Safed and the northern region," shared Oren Avitan, MDA Yarden Region Director.
