Every year, the leaders of the MDA Friends Societies from around the world gather for a conference held in Israel, where they hear about the organization's activities over in the previous year and learn about its needs, out of a desire to help raise donations that will continue the vital activity.

This year, for the first time, in the light of the Coronavirus, the conference was held virtually and was attended by the leaders of the societies and members of the societies' management from around the world.

MDA Director General Eli Bin conducted a comprehensive review of the challenges of the past year, primarily due to the coronavirus pandemic, and shared the activity of the organization that has been at the forefront of the fight against the virus since February 2020 with participants.

Participants were very excited to watch a film describing the progress of the construction of the new blood bank in Ramla, which is currently being constructed with the assistance of MDA Friends Societies and is expected to be completed in the spring of 2021.

The MDA Director General warmly thanked the participants for their generous donations that enable the organization to continue saving lives in the State of Israel both during routine and emergencies, and ended the event in hopes of holding the next meeting here in Israel, face to face, after the corona threat has passed.
