Nahariya Residents Save Lives
160 blood units were donated in the city on March 2, 2026 in a moving display of Israeli solidarity. Due to a severe shortage of blood units, Magen David Adom is calling on the public to come donate blood at protected locations and to assist in organizing blood drives in shelters and underground parking facilities.
Due to the severe blood shortage, blood donation drives were held March 2, 2026, in the city of Nahariya. Thanks to the remarkable response from residents — in a powerful display of true Israeli solidarity — 160 lifesaving blood units were collected. Each blood unit has the potential to save the lives of at least three people.
Blood is a precious resource with a limited shelf life. The sick and injured, women giving birth, as well as the IDF, urgently require blood supplies of all types — especially Type O blood — both in routine times and even more so during emergencies.
Join the national effort and come donate blood. All blood drives are being held only in protected locations, in accordance with Home Front Command guidelines.
