Another Trek Challenge Completed Leads to Two New Lifesaving Medicycles in Israel
MDA UK's successful Trek challenges have collectively led to a quarter of a million pounds in lifesaving vehicles purchased for Magen David Adom in Israel.
During early November, some 20 British Trekkers hiked through the Negev in support of Magen David Adom. Their perseverance and sweat was well rewarded as with each step more family and friends supported their efforts by donating towards the cause.
The group collectively raised funds to purchase two new lifesaving medicycles active today in the Magen David Adom Negev Region and the MDA Yarkon Region (area of Ra'anana and Kefar Sava) which was dedicated in Tel Aviv after the group returned from their emotional and exciting spectator shifts on MDA's ambulances across central Israel in which they witnessed the work of MDA's volunteers and staff first hand.
Ido Gutin, Director of the British Desk, thanked the Trekkers on behalf of MDA and the people of Israel for their commitment, hard work and time which allows MDA to save more lives in Israel each and every day.
Michelle Rosenberg, Trek & Missions Manager at MDA UK and a proud Trekker herself from previous missions said: "I am so extremely proud of the group for taking time from their own lives to do good for the people of Israel, It is truly inspirational to see."
Todah Rabah and Kol Hakavod!
