Information Regarding the Service in MDA
Brief background:
MDA has been recruiting girls on National Service since the early 1980s. During their Service, the girls have the option to fill a variety of roles, such as an Assistant First Aid Responders on board the ambulances, First Aid Instructors, Assistant Control Center Operator, Assistant Blood Donation Collector, and various clerical positions. The girls have a choice between roles and they can move between roles according to their professional training in MDA.
Service in MDA is challenging and interesting, allowing you the opportunity to make a real contribution, save lives and help many people. The work take place in a dynamic environment with people who, on top of their professionalism, are mainly qualitative and caring people. People who will treat you as equal and give you the opportunity to learn and develop in the field. These are the same people who work in this profession for the same reason you chose to join - because of the desire to help and contribute to others.
If you decide to join MDA and do your National Service with us, we will be happy to answer any questions you probably have:
Stage A:
First, to be admitted to National Service in MDA, you need three things:
Exemption from military service.
Health Declaration and vaccines.
You must be registered in one of the National Service associations.
Stage B:
After you have received a Certificate of Exemption from Army Service; have in your possession a statement signed by the family physician certifying that you are in good health; you have received vaccines and registered with one of National Service associations - you should contact your supervisor in association with which you are registered and ask him / her for an interview in the Human Resources Department.
Stage C:
When you get to the Human Resources Department, you will be asked to fill out a personal questionnaire. Then you will have an interview with Deputy Director of Organization and Administration and the Human Resources Coordinator, where you will be given the opportunity to express your opinion and speak about your ambitions, your plans for the years of service, report of your preferred placements and ask all the questions you wish to ask. You will be given all the information patiently and graciously. You will also be given a telephone number you can call if any question or problem arises.
What's next?
The answer whether you are admitted to National Service in MDA will be delivered to you through your supervisor in the association where you are registered and as the date of beginning your service draws near, you will receive a letter from the Human Resources Department, notifying you about your in MDA, the beginning date of your service and also an explanation regarding your duties and rights during National Service.
