Humanitarian activities in the community

Alongside MDA's activities with its ambulances, mobile advanced life support units and blood services, MDA also constantly carries out humanitarian activities in the community, led by MDA youth.

In order to assist and benefit the disadvantaged and the needy population, MDA youth organize activities throughout the year, in fields such as accidents and disease prevention; relief for suffering patients; collecting food for needy families; Purim (holiday) sweets delivery for sick children; Hanukah (holiday) candle lighting and donut servings in mental health centers; Tu B'Shevat (holiday) tree planting with disabled children; guidance on preventing fire hazards during Lag Ba'Omer (holiday) bonfires; hypertension awareness day and the taking of blood pressure measurements in public places.

In addition to a regular action plan throughout the year, each branch initiates and holds unique activities for its local community, such as "adoption" of associations for children with special needs ("Zamid" / "Krembo Wings"); "adoption" of the Akim Club (National Association for the Habilitation of Children and Adults with Intellectual Disabilities); MDA youth activity for Holocaust survivors and more ...

A Family Tradition of Saving Lives

Inspired by her father and now volunteering alongside her children, MDA volunteer Arava Adar has dedicated the past seven years to serving her community, proving that the commitment to saving lives can span generations.
